Area residents can place their bids on these fishing works of art during the Fish Frenzy Auction Aug. 1—15.

BELOIT—If art shaped like fish is what you wish there are more than 50 smartly
decorated wooden fish cutouts that can be swimming into your living room, rec
room or garden. All you have to do is place a bid online.

The Beloit Art Center Fish Frenzy auction is being held online Aug. 1—15 at the Beloit
Auction & Realty website at Beloit Auction & Realty is
donating its services for this project.

Funds raised by the auction will help fund free art classes and fitness classes for
cancer patients in the area. Studies have indicated that art therapy can help cancer
patients deal with the stress of cancer treatment.

Those interested in bidding on the fish art can get a glimpse of the finned features at
the First National Bank Plaza at the corner of State Street and Grand Avenue in
downtown Beloit. Fish art also can be found on display at Walnut Creek Apparel and
Gifts, The Villager, Northwoods Premium Confections and at the Beloit Art Center.

The fish art was created by community members and they have been donated to the
Fish Frenzy auction.
