BELOIT — Anticipation is mounting for a new entertainment venue planned for a spot overlooking the Rock River in Downtown Beloit.
Hendricks Commercial Properties announced recently plans for its Henry Dorrbaker’s entertainment venue, which is planned for 625 Third St. in the Ironworks Campus in downtown Beloit.
The name for the venue comes from the first bowling alley owner in Beloit, Henry Dorrbaker, who opened his business at 426 State St., in 1899. Much like other developments Hendricks Commercial Properties has initiated in Beloit, the venue has a name that reflects the history of the community. Other examples of this historic link are the Wright and Wagner Lofts, the Merrill and Houston Steak Joint and the Ironworks campus.
