BELOIT — The theme for the evening was “Leap into Downtown” as the Downtown Beloit Association celebrated Leap Day on Thursday by reviewing the success stories of the past year and presenting awards to some outstanding businesses and individuals.
The Downtown Beloit Association welcomed guests to its annual meeting and dinner at the Grande Hall.
“We are super thankful for all the amazing businesses we have downtown,” said Stephanie Knueppel, chair of the Downtown Beloit Association Board of Directors.
She pointed to many of the activities and events that the DBA has presented in the past year that attracted about 125,000 attendees. The events have included the spring and fall Wine Walks, Oktoberfest, the Street Dance, Holidazzle, the Halloween Parade, the Grand Lighted Christmas Parade, the Easter Eggstravaganza, and of course the Farmers Market, which now is held year-round.
