The First Friday Gallery Reception will be held from 5 — 7 p.m. July 5 at the Beloit Art Center, 520 E. Grand Ave. in downtown Beloit. A gallery talk will be featured at 6 p.m. The exhibits will be on display through July 25.
The artwork of the Rockford Art Guild will be on display in the Sveum Gallery.
The Rockford Art Guild was originally organized in 1955 by 11 artists whose interest was to have a group of fellow artists to get together on a regular basis to talk about their art and interact with like minded creatives. The guild has had up to 70 plus artists before the COVID-19 pandemic. Generally, they have around 50 artists, meeting once a month, to talk, give advice, share their thoughts about art and exchange ideas and creative processes. Atwork by the following artists will be on display; Timothy Griffith, Deb Sherman, Jill Martin-Golden, Cindy Bear, Don Hyson, Cora Hutchison, David VanDeLinder, and Dennis Dargel. The Sveum Gallery is sponsored by Senz Redieske Insurance Agency in memory of Mark Senz.
