Goodbye, Snappers; Beloit to Sport New Moniker in 2021

Say goodbye to the Snappers nickname, as Beloit’s Midwest League team announced that it will be dropping the moniker for 2021 and beyond, with a fan vote to select the new name beginning next week.
That’s a shame, as Snappers is one of the great nicknames in Minor League Baseball. But with a move to a new downtown ballpark, the decision was made to move in a different direction.
