BELOIT – The Beloit City Council has approved two ordinances to allow for more long-term parking downtown.
The parking spaces along a four-block stretch of Broad Street will become unrestricted parking except for spaces in front of Bryden Motors properties. Those spaces will continue to have time limits.
In a separate ordinance, the city is resurfacing a stretch of East Grand Avenue a block north of Broad Street. Once complete, westbound traffic on East Grand at Park Avenue will be reduced from two lanes to one lane, allowing for additional parking spots.
