The Downtown Beloit Al Fresco on Grand event starts this Friday, July 24, 2020, and here’s a few things you should know!
😷Why: This event provides additional opportunities for downtown businesses to serve additional customers while adhering to social distancing requirements due to COVID-19.
🕓🕘Hours: 4-9pm (all participating businesses must stop serving and have everything off the street by 10 p.m.)
❌💳Fee: No entry fee
📅Days: Fridays and Saturdays through October 31st
📍Where: Grand Avenue in Downtown Beloit between State and Pleasant streets. The road will be closed each evening for this event.
🚶♂️🚶♀️Access: Pedestrian traffic will not be impeded.
🍻🍸🍷Drinks: Anyone who has a fermented malt beverage, intoxicating liquor or wine must purchase the beverage in an approved business’ fenced or barricaded area; you must consume that beverage within that business’ section. There are currently two businesses that applied for and received the permit to sell alcohol as part of the Downtown Beloit Al Fresco on Grand event: Lucy’s #7 Burger Bar and truk’t.
✅Other businesses: While only two restaurants are approved for the sale of alcohol at this time, other businesses will be participating in the Al Fresco event. Walnut Creek Apparel & Gifts is confirmed to be participating this week.
