Proceeds from sales help people in need, giving them funds for rent, gift cards for gas and food as well as bus tokens. “After paying expenses, 100 percent is given back to the community,” said President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society Todd Ropella.
All workers in the store are volunteers and do not get paid.
The store is always seeking volunteers, as it would allow the store to extend hours to collect more donations. Although the store is run by a Catholic organization, anyone is welcome to become a volunteer at the store. The only qualification to serve is eyes, ears and a heart willing to serve.
