A Day in Downtown Beloit

Last week, I wrote about a day at the Beloit Farmers’ Market in an effort to show Beloit College students what is in the community, just a short walk away. This week, I walked around downtown Beloit and visited some of the local businesses. 

 

I started my day off at Blue Collar Coffee, the closest downtown coffee shop to the college campus. Right next to Truk’t, the street taco restaurant, this quaint coffee shop has an industrial feel, with metal sheets covering the walls. They have also managed to take this look and make it warm, making this a great off campus study spot. They have recently rolled out their fall drink menu, featuring maple and cinnamon roll lattes, as well as the traditional fall flavoring, pumpkin spice. They also have tea and smoothies, but I headed off to another business to find some grub.
