FRIDAYS IN THE PARK

BELOIT — Lunch and live music are available at Fridays in the Park, a summer series hosted by Downtown Beloit. Fridays in the Park occur ever Saturday from from May to September, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at First National Bank Plaza, Corner of State St and Grand Ave, . FARMERS MARKET

BELOIT — Shop in the open-air market with dozens of vendors selling produce, baked goods, and more. This outdoor farmers market occurs every Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine from May-October. Come enjoy the live music, fresh produce, and craft tables in downtown Beloit.

 

MEET ME AT THE CONFLUENCE

BELOIT — Nature at the Confluence is celebrating the start of summer with this free, family-friendly event. “Meet Me at the Confluence” takes place on Saturday, May 27, at Nature at the Confluence, 306 Dickop St, in Beloit. From 1-1:30 p.m., guests can enjoy a complimentary outdoor yoga session or kids story time under the cottonwood tree. At 2 p.m., get your toes wet during a family walk in Kelly Creek.

 

TANK COMPANY REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY

JANESVILLE — VFW Post 1621 will hold a remembrance ceremony on Sunday, March 28, to honor veterans, in particular the sacrifices of the Janesville 99, the tank company that endured imprisonment in Japan and the Bataan Death March. This free ceremony will be held at the 192nd Tank Battalion Monument at the Corn Exchange, W Milwaukee St and N Franklin St, in Janesville, at 7 p.m.
