BELOIT — The sun was shining, the aroma of food was wafting through the air and toes were tapping to music at Fridays in the Park at First National Bank Plaza.
Although the season for Fridays in the Park kicked off on Friday, May 24, rain caused the event to move indoors at Merrill & Houston’s Steak Joint. So, the Friday, May 31 event was the first event held outdoors under a bright blue sky.
“We never cancel,” said Shauna El-Amin, executive director of the Downtown Beloit Association.
