The Beloit Farmers Market is earning a little national recognition.
Downtown Beloit Executive Director Shauna El-Amin says Holidu, a search engine for vacation rentals, looked at over fifteen hundred markets from around the United States and named the Beloit market as one of the top ten in the country.
El-Amin says a number of factors she thinks set them apart, including being a true farmers market by having local grown produce along with made by you crafts, and they’re also open year round as they move inside during the Winter months.
Beloit’s Farmers Market takes place every Saturday, rain or shine, from 8am to 1pm.
