Goblins, dinosaurs and more roam downtown Beloit during Halloween Parade

BELOIT — Dinosaurs, princesses, ninjas and angels strolled the streets of downtown Beloit Saturday for the annual Halloween Parade and Party.

 

Saturday also marked the final outdoor Beloit Farmers Market of the season, with the indoor market scheduled to begin next Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Downtown Beloit Association Office at 557 E. Grand Ave.

 

Annaleah Cochran, who dressed as an angel, and Sierra Schachtschneider, who was a snow princess, lined up with dozens of other children at Horace White Park as the parade downtown was about to begin. Children stopped at participating businesses where they could collect treats before moving into the Farmers Market where vendors also were distributing treats.

 

“This is our first time,” said Maylia Schachtschneider. “I’m excited and I know the girls are excited.”
