BELOIT, Wis. — Beloit residents will have a chance to share their thoughts on a redevelopment project that would expand parts of downtown Beloit’s riverside walkway and see the demolition of a vacant downtown building.
City officials said the project would call for the demolition of a vacant building located at 80-100 E. Grand Ave., part of which hangs over the Rock River. The space would then be replaced with an expansion of the city’s Downtown Riverwalk, which runs along the Rock River through the Beloit College campus and other stretches of downtown Beloit, and the construction of a four-story
development that would include space for residential and commercial uses.
