BELOIT — Holiday lights were twinkling on parade floats and fireworks were sparkling in the sky on Friday night as Beloit kicked off the holiday season in style with the 31st Annual Downtown Beloit Grand Lighted Holiday Parade.
About 30 entries were part of the parade, which included businesses and non-profit agencies.
Entries included the Rising Stars Dance Academy, the Janesville-Beloit Kennel Club and many others.
Stacey Clark was one of the hundreds of spectators who stood along Grand Avenue Friday night, waiting for the parade to begin, as well as the arrival of Santa Claus, who turned on the lights on the decorated trees at First National Bank and Trust Plaza.
