BELOIT — The Downtown Beloit Association has scheduled its annual Awards Dinner on Leap Day, Thursday, Feb. 29. So of course the theme of the celebratory event is “Take a Leap Downtown.”
The event will feature awards presented to individuals and downtown businesses. The accomplishments of the past year also will be recounted during the event, which is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Grande Banquet Hall, 638 Fourth St. Dinner will be served starting at 6 p.m.
Shauna El-Amin, Downtown Beloit Association executive director, said it was an easy decision to pick Leap Day for the annual DBA dinner event.
