BELOIT — For Bob Christidis, owner of The Olive Branch, 2024 is the year that his long hours of work are set to finally pay off.
Bob, his wife Michele, and their hardworking team of close-knit employees have been operating the Greek food truck in the Stateline Area since 2017, and the Olive Branch is finally opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Beloit later this year.
The restaurant, called Kalamata, will occupy 315 S. State St. in downtown Beloit, where the Fresco Fajita House once served Beloit until it closed in 2023. The renovations on the space are set to be finished by late fall or winter in 2024.
